A recent visit to Sandsend Tunnel on the former Whitby to Loftus line closed in 1958

This tunnel is almost a mile in length at 0.94

What trains used this tunnel? From the Pictures looks like narrow gauge trains.

It was standard gauge, but this coastal line was mostly single-line with passing loops at some of the stations.
