Salisbury is well known for specials running through - Steam, Diesel and V.S.O.E. etc.
Next year will be 150 years of the railway reaching Salisbury - Fisherton. (Milford was reached in 1857). I'd like to see if I can get SWT/Charter companies interested in celebrating the occasion and run some specials. Maybe a West Country to Yeovil and a 50 to Exeter (a Warship would be good too) plus static exhibits in 5 bay/engine road. When I was based there they also had stalls almost every time a special ran.
Does anyone have experience of running events or contacts, ideas etc.
