Sainsbury's and Scotrail are teaming up yet again. From 30th September to 20th October, if you buy anything at Sainsbury's (no minimum spend!) you can travel anywhere in Scotland for a mere £15. (Voucher valid until December 13). You need to shop in a Scottish Sainsbury's (of which there are very few in existence) and travel is only on Scotrail trains, but it's a good deal nevertheless. Also, just to confirm, the Caledonian Sleeper is excluded from this deal.
And here's a hint: travelling North from Glasgow? There's a wee Sainsbury's round the corner from Queen Street Station (corner of Buchanan Street and Bath Street), so by buying a chocolate bar or bottle of water, you can significantly reduce the price of your ticket.
