Rural Northamptonshire.
Looking at Mark Smiths excellent 'Man in seat 61' website, an intinery he quotes fron Belfast to London via Cainryryan, dep Belfast 15.30 Ayr and Glasgow takes you on the 23.40 Lowland sleeper, all for £58.50.
Obviously you don't get a sleeper berth for this, but would 'adding on' a berth be legal?

Yes, just purchase a berth supplement at a station or on CS's website.
