Running on one powercar

Hi all,
Is there anyway I can run a hst with one powercar shut down??
When I shut the engine down it shuts both engines down, and would like to try a route on one power car.

I have tried leaving a powercar behind and that does give the desired effect, but is there a way to run a hst with both powercars attatched but with one shut down??

Yea there is but you'll need to go into the scenario editor. Double click on the engine you want to be shutdown and in the flyout that appears there'll be a checkbox (which if you hover over it with your mouse will say Broken Engine) tick that, press the play button and save the scenario when prompted.

edit: its easier to get into the scenario editor if you load the scenario you want, press ctrl + E and click on the train icon in the top left and click yes in the window that pops up.
