On Monday 27th October I will be travelling from Runcorn East to Shrewsbury in the early morning and returning on Tuesday 28th mid afternoon. I was wondering if there is any way to do this cheaper than the £26.20 SVR. So far I have come up with:
RUE-HSB SDS £3.80
HSB-RUE SDS £3.80
HSB-SHR SVR £18.50
Total: £26.10 - giving a grand total saving of 10p!
I did consider a Ince and Elton-Shrewsbury SVR at £17.20 valid via Helsby, but this has restriction 8A, hence prohibiting starting short at Helsby.
Is there a cheaper way of doing this? Or am I being unreasonable trying to find a split combination that is cheaper than an already good value fare? :roll:
