I know I posted another thread but I think it was in the wring section

I am going to Rgby on a weekday next week for around 3 hours (11:30 - 2:30)

1) What is the best platform to stand on?
2) Is it good taking photos?
3) How much freight traffic is there there?

Thank You

For northbound trains I found Platform 2, then heading all the way to the south end, was the best
The view of northbound Pendolinos coming round the curve at "full speed and full tilt" is impressive
Equally, you have a good view of the signals (the arrow route signal is helpful)

For southbound trains I found Platform 6 was acceptable

I took about 20 photos and 8 videos in just under one hour
I managed to see three freight in that time

In another thread you said you had the Freightmaster book. That should tell you what freight to expect and when.

Thats the July - September edition, I don't know how much has changed?

In the time I would be there it says I would see:

11:35 4L75 Freightliner Class 90 Southbound
11:45 4M34 DRS Class 66 Intermodal Southbound
12:25 4S44 DRS Class 66 Intermodal Northbound
12:55 4M94 Freightliner Class 66 Northbound
14:20 4M54 2 Freightliner Class 86's Northbound
14:25 4M81 Freightliner Class 90 Northbound

Could somebody tel me if these are still the same times and if they still run

Thank You

Is there normally a Class 57 acting as Thunderbird on a weekday?
There was no loco when I was there, but there was one at Crewe
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
11:35 4L75 Freightliner Class 90 Southbound
11:45 4M34 DRS Class 66 Intermodal Southbound
12:25 4S44 DRS Class 66 Intermodal Northbound
12:55 4M94 Freightliner Class 66 Northbound
14:20 4M54 2 Freightliner Class 86's Northbound
14:25 4M81 Freightliner Class 90 Northbound
Had a look at the time stamp on my photos and videos, from 25 August, my one hour at Rugby
4M94 was 66569

I managed to see 4M54 and 4M81 at Rugeley Trent Valley, but didn't take any photos or video due to the rain
