What was the final year that Swinton played at the stadium very near to Swinton railway station and why did they relocate from there?

Last played at the dilapidated, old, and increasingly vandalised Station Road ground in April 1992 after which (during the close season) it was controversially and quite quickly sold for housing.

An improved match-play by Salford saw them lead 16-12 at half-time but Batley pressed hard and the result was uncertain until a drop goal a minute before time gave Salford the win. Both sides scored five tries and this result lifted Salford up away from the bottom three in the league table.

Definitely a match of two halves at Bower Field as at half-time, the score was level at 18-18, but Oldham ran riot in the second half. and won the try count 12-4.

Hunslet were only able to name 16 fit players (13 starters and 3 on the bench) and visibly tired early into the second half. As for Oldham, they made full use of their interchanges and notched up a new club record eleven different try scorers in their 12 try haul.

The Lions nevertheless almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Keighley levelled with less than a minute remaining when Oliver Whitford scored but they then failed to add the conversion.

Batley Bulldogs 110 ... North Wales Crusaders 10
Middle-table Batley found that everything they tried was successful. Half-time score of 42-6 was enhanced by a strong second-half showing. I think their try count was in the region of 17, of which 13 were converted.

Think someone may have lost count in this one, as the number of tries scored and conversions kicked don't add up correctly.

He was only broadcasting on Saturday. This must have been very sudden. Such a shock to read. I am not a big RL fan but watch the challenge cup.
2 challenge cups ( Sheffield and Hull FC), England coach, Wales coach and took Batley to a Championship grand final after a 10 year playing career with Castleford.

Having home advantage against the top of the league meant naught at the Stadium CSM and the Crusaders were 0-60 down at half-time with no respite in the second half.

When Northampton were relegated some years ago (and I know that's Union) for one season there were a few matches with the Saints scoring over 100 points (one I think I remember was a Cornish side with something like 130). For some reason the season outside the Premiership doesn't seem to appear on the club's match data website...
Beating Gloucester 90 - 0 in the Premiership wasn't bad , either.

Sadly this was utterly predictable given the exodus of players at Crusaders due to non payment of wages and London's table topping form. London, of course, were told they would be relegated from Super (sic) League at the start of last season, even if they finished first.
Being at a loose end, I was tempted to go to Colwyn Bay - but tries lose their excitement when they are so easy to score that it's just a case of one side continually moving up field and plonking the ball down. And I have a soft spot for Crusaders so I didn't want to watch the massacre.
Instead I went to see the other crisis club Salford which also allowed me to do the Hulmes ferry en route. Salford put up a decent come back show against Doncaster after going 22-0 down early doors. In fact it was they who looked the more likely to score the three late tries they needed but it was Doncaster who got them. This was the first time I had seen the visitors since they were a mickey mouse team playing at the appropriately named Tattersfield.

Interesting clash at the Stadium CSM between to bottom two clubs, both of which were subject to points deductions by the league authority. Home advantage counted for naught and the score was 0 - 42 at half time, with no relaxting of the Halifax pressure in the second half. This result made a noticeable improvement to Halifax's points scored record.

A not unexpected result at the CorpAcq Stadium which saw Salford ahead 36-4 at half time. Salford had eight different try scorers and won the try count 12-1.
Salford are now beginning to play as a team after commencing the season as a new team of newly signed players and acadamy players and are now 11th place in the 20-team league.

Salford RLFC have been in contact with Warrington Wolves to sign the vastly experienced former player, Marc Sneyd, for the 2027 time period.

Paul Rowley (head coach at St Helens RLFC) is to leave the club with immediate effect. The recent 0-46 home defeat by Toulouse wouldn't have helped. Next up for St. Helens is a trip to Wigan!

Even a visit from the 12th team in the league did not alter the fortunes of the Crusaders, who were 0-30 in arrears by half-time and suffered more of the same in the 2nd half.
Goole won the try count 12-1 and bettered their points gained total with this result.

Top of the league London Broncos brought a 21-match winning league streak to Boundary Park to face third-placed Oldham and the scores were level at 18-18 at half-time, but Oldham did not crumble as had the Bronco's opponents this season and won the try-count 6 to 4.
