Looked at this and thought great trip, would mean a taxi to get me to Darlington for the 0715 pick up, but not impossible.
Then I looked at the return. Having had the steam locos unhooked at Grangetown it continues back to Darlington en route Newcastle via ECML, but doesn't set down their or Durham meaning all those pax, and the York pax have to do the extra miles and time via Newcastle.
Crazy, and enough to put me off for sure as that would be another taxi home, and a very long day.
