RPSI Gatwick carriages 8941,8942, 8943 and 8944 were cut up in two at Dundalk yesterday for ease of transport for scrap. In 2014 the RPSI acquired the coaches from NIR. After a period stored in Adelaide, 8945-8948 were eventually moved to Whitehead. 8941-8944 were moved to Dundalk for temporay storage to allow space for the Whitehead Railway Museum construction to be completed.
After suffering from vandals at Dundalk, and with storage still at a premium at Whitehead, 8941-8944 were disposed of in February 2023.
