She's travelled on the Tyne and Wear Metro, which is about as "common" as you can get: Although admittedly she did have the Metrocar reserved for her and a couple of other dignataries. So she has travelled on normal trains too (And cabbed a 91, come to think of it)!
I believe she does this annually at Christmas except last year it was publicised.Didn't she this year also take a First Capital Connect Class 365 up to King's Lynn on her way to Sandringham? She only got the 1st class 1/3rd of the carriage if I remember correctly, with minimal security.
