Just wondering weather the royal train is going to pop down to windsor this week being as there is racing in windsor castle?

You'll never get any gen on when the Royal train is running, same as MoD trains.

Both come under the official secrets act, and the signallers on the route of the Royal Train are only given 60 minutes notice, if that, that's due to run through their area....

Gen NEVER comes prior to it running. Those who plan its running are subject to the official secrets act.

The 'racing' to which you refer, is 'The Royal Windsor Horse Show'. This is predominantly Show Jumping and Showing Classes as well as carriage driving. There are also demonstration polo and dressage events as well as specialist equestrian displays. Full details can be found on the show's website www.rwhs.co.uk

Horse 'racing' is at Windsor Racecourse. As the Horse Show is held in the private grounds of Windsor Castle, Her Majesty generally drives herself from the Castle down to Home Park in one of Her Range Rovers. On this occaision, Royal Train not required.
