Yesterday the Queen and Prince Phillip visited Cornwall and the Royal Train transported them to St Erth where they transferred to a DMU for the rest of the journey to St Ives. This was their first visit to St Ives.

66201 was one of the Royal train loco's as there was a fault on route with one of the two 67's, so has the Queen had 66 haulage before?

Secondly has she ridden on a 150 unit before?

Anyone know or shall I ring Buckingham Palace and ask?!:)

When it goes 'please hold the line', does the national anthem come on? :P

That's interesting, I saw the Royal Train passing Oldfield Park yesterday and was wondering where it had been.
Anyone know which 150 the Queen and Prince Philip travelled on to St Ives?

She's had a pair of class 20s for haulage in the past (to Aberystwyth in 1996)

And Charles has been on a 108 unit on the Cumbrian coast due to the royal Mk3s being out of gauge

Given that Brenda was crowned prior to Mk3 stock...

I'm sure that she's had a fair selection over the years.
