As I brought my less than regal 466 +465 int p3 at Vic I was a bit surprised to find this set sitting on p2- normally we get the Belmond set. I must admit the accommodation does look very impressive. Any idea what the tour is?

The Royal Scotsman is part of Belmond. I imagine this was a private charter.

A strange nocturnal visit to the Nene Valley on Tuesday!

The Royal Scotsman are VERY expensive/excusive tours - mostly of Scotland - run by Belmond over the summer months. Traction provided by GBRf with two 66s specially painted in the burgundy livery (66743/746).

Lots more info (and eye-watering prices) on their website here https://www.belmond.com/royal-scotsman-train/
