Whenever l order something for delivery and see it's being delivered by Royal Mail l know it will never be left at the doorstep because if no one's in they take it back for redelivery, unless instruct them to leave in a safe place which I generally do.

I would quite like it to work like that where I am.

Incidentally I just looked through my previous complaints to the Royal Mail and found one starting with
I’m sorry to hear about <enter problem description>.

I mean it was obvious that it was a form letter anyway, but....

Well they have excelled themselves now.

I've just had a parcel that is officially delivered, complete with "delivery" photo showing just my house number. But somehow at the same time it's also gone back to the sorting office.
There is no sign of it here so presumably the wave function of Schroedinger's parcel has collapsed at the sorting office.

They suggest that I arrange a redelivery, except when I try the first question is "Did you get a ‘Something for You’ card?"
And I didn't, which would perhaps be fine if there was actually an option to say "no" to that question.

It is a bit disappointing that I need the card I don't have to arrange a redelivery given that I already have the tracking number etc.
