Routing Question. Hemel Hempstead to Wokingham

My daughter will be moving to Wokingham next week. Am I allowed to travel via Paddington & Reading or must it always be Waterloo, from Hemel Hempstead.

Yes, that's fine (unless you hold a route 'Kensington Olympia' ticket). Tickets to Wokingham are generally valid to London via Reading unless the ticket route prohibits it.

Would Hemel Hempstead -> Watford Junction -> Clapham Junction and then onwards to Wokingham be possible on a route "Any Permitted" ticket?

Rather than buy a cheaper "via Kensington Olympia" ticket for that route?
