A season from Ramsgate to London Terminals (not HS1). Is it valid to use the Beckenham Junction to London Bridge service? I'd have said yes: Ramsgate staff say no as it's not an SE service. Advice would be very welcome.

Yes you can, from Ramsgate simply change at Bromley South and travel two stops to Beckenham Junction.

The staff are talking complete rubbish and this has nothing to do with trains not being a Southeastern service at all. A Southern train is allowed as is a Thamelink train. I would say a complaint is in order as they gave entirely false information.

This is a very basic error from the staff who advised you.

Ramsgate Group to London Group is mapped on maps DE FA FB FC FH FL FN FT FV HK HS RA VR
As mentioned upthread, the service is mapped on map FT (via Peckham Rye for London Bridge). For a ticket routed NOT HS1, as long as you don't use HS1, you can use any operator's service on a mapped route.
