I assume the OP wanted something useful for drivers, with relevant route details such as PSRs, signals & indications, names of running lines, gradients, level crossings, viaducts and tunnels, crossovers and loops, etc etc.

Sectional Appendix is available via Network Rail website. (Sorry can't find link at the moment.)

Yes the full sectional appendix can be found on NwR's site pretty easily, which is very useful but it's no good for signals.

To access NESA from which you can download selected routes and customise which info you want, you need a Network Rail portal login.

You can also order a printed sectional appendix from the printers used by most of the industry.

I find this useful :




They are internal and great for signals.

What I find annoying is that there appears to be nothing that has everything. The Sexypendix has speeds, this has signals, others have geographic information, nothing has everything :/

There's a set of maps I've got covering Wellingborough to St Pancras which are works of art, they have everything on. All info from SA table A, signalling info, gradients, miles and chains down the side, all bridges with structure numbers, grid references, roads, rivers, access points, addresses and postcodes of all stations...

Home made or something readily available ?

Our TOC route maps from a long while ago were pretty good but sadly never kept up to date. GTR have a 'Route School' and they have pretty decent maps and when they are out of date the guys in the route school simply redraw the map page and reissue it.
