Routeing via Smethwick Galton Bridge

Hi all. Quick routeing question which I can't quite figure out from the guide.

I have a season from Shifnal SFN to University UNI, so my normal route involves changing at Birmingham New Street BHM.

Trains from Shifnal to Birmingham New Street often stop at Smethwick Galton Bridge SGB where there are connections to Birmingham Moor Street BMO (another station in the Birmingham Group). Is it acceptable therefore to change trains at SGB onto a BMO bound service, assuming I was aiming to end my journey sooner than the change to UNI? Similarly, is it acceptable to break journey on the SGB to BMO route?

Yes, this would be permitted, and you can get an itinerary for this route on the forum's ticketing site.

You may encounter issues at the Moor Street gateline, though. There's no reason you can't end your journey short enroute, either. You can also break your journey enroute, too.

It's one of the perks of a season ticket that the journey can be broken anywhere on the route between the end points. The walk between New Street and Moor Street is on route as shown above.

Routeing Wolverhampton-Birmingham direct, but I can’t see a problem with changing for Moor Street, it’s via “Birmingham Group” not just New Street, so Snow Hill also included.
