Has anyone got an easy to remember acronym to help with route learning from Man Pic - York?

Depends on what you're route learning. Stations? Signalboxes? Tunnels? Junctions? Signals? I don't tend to go with acronyms, but they can be useful, for example for Derby to Crewe your first four signalboxes are DETS, Derby, Egginton Junction, Tutbury Crossing, Scropton.

Try and think of a little sentence like this one, used when route learning St. Pancras to Bedford

Knowing - Kentish Town
What - West Hampstead
Causes - Cricklewood
Headaches - Hendon
May - Mill Hill Broadway
Elleviate* - Elstree (yes, I know it's spelt wrong but it works)
and
Reduce - Radlett
Stress - St Albans
By
Half - Harpendon
Luton Airport
Luton
Leagrave
Harlington
Flitwick
Bedford.

The other thing is to picture it in your head and remember everything in sequence, or think of similar sounding words or names. For example during route learning a mate kept forgetting Milford Tunnel, so I prompted him with "Young parent who you rather fancy" and he got it straight away!
