Hi Guys

Another Routing Query. I have 2 x Off Peak Returns.

One - YRK to Manchester Stations
Two - Manchester Stations - GTW

Question for the floor - Can I travel via KX / STP to get home from YRK (Via Doncaster etc) or must I go via Man Picc.

Routing Calulator says the listed below but I am unsure if I can do this route to KX because of the Manx Stations split.

Nice and simple. Yes, you do have to go via Manchester with such a combination. Whilst your journey is York - Gatwick, you'd have to look up York - Manchester and Manchester - Gatwick separately in the Routeing Guide to determine valid routes.

This wouldn't be the quickest of journeys, but after travelling via Manchester Stns, is the OP still able to route via Kings Cross or St Pancras en route to Gatwick Airport, on an Off Peak return ticket?

What other routeings might be possible as well as via Euston?

Reading? Kensington Olympia? Marylebone?

They'd be able to go out of Euston, Marylebone, St Pancras and Paddington but not Kings Cross. They'd be able to do Kensington Olympia as well

York to Manchester is valid via Sheffield, and Manchester to Gatwick Airport is valid via Sheffield, so you could go York > Sheffield > St Pancras > Gatwick

My apologies. I was unaware of York - Manchester being valid via Sheffield, so I stand corrected on that front. But with that in mind, and no BoJ restriction, I'd agree that you don't have to use such a combination to do Sheffield - Manchester - Sheffield for no reason.
