Including Sleaford North - South Junction, Allington West - North Junction, lines around Toton and Castle Donington?

Passenger lines I should have said. Not done the Sleaford avoid.
But the lines around Toton have all been done over the years, as has Castle Donnington.
Castle Donnington was a a passenger line not that long ago, Cardiff-Notts used to go that way until they realised that the loss of Derby income outweighed the time saving.

Some updates to mine, including visiting Lincoln and Scunthorpe for the first time, although I had already done Barnetby, Barton on Humber and Cleethorpes by taking the Brigg line out and back. Also got the Harrogate loop in, meaning that the only bit of West Yorkshire (and South Yorkshire) is the Penistone Line between Barnsley and Huddersfield - every time I've attempted it, or had plans to go there, something has gone wrong.

In the last fortnight of travel with Freedom of Southwest 8 from 15, I cleared the Devon and Cornwall branches and Cardiff Valleys by adding 2 Valley Day Explorers all paid for with half the vouchers from delays on my ALR in June.

My coverage now looks like this:-

Particularly if you're someone like me who, apart from a few curves & PSUL lines, only needs to 'do' the Ebbw Vale branch for a 'full house'.

I use the 'fill with colour' option in MS Paint, so much quicker and easier than doing it by hand! All you need to do is cordon off the bits you don't want filling.

I don't think so as back in the late 80s I went down on the sleeper and only got as far as Gunnislake before 8pm and that was without stopping off in the towns. You could probably get all but Barnstaple done these days due to improved fenquencies and better/quicker stock.

Actually had a look at this and it is just possible:

06:55 out of Penzance and then the following route: St Ives-St Erth-Par-Newquay-Par-Truro-Falmouth-Truro-Liskeard-Looe-Liskeard-Plymouth-Gunnislake-Plymouth-Newton Abbot-Paignton-Exeter St Davids-Barnstaple-Exmouth, arriving 23:59.

Going to Falmouth before Newquay leaves too long a wait at Par to get to Newquay.

The only bit you don't do is Coombe Junction Halt.

I think ideally it would probably be off the sleeper, with time to 'explore'. Probably best allowing two days then.

My coverage is available below. This summer I've been able to add:
* Dundee - Aberdeen
* Preston - Sheffield via Manchester
* Kirkby in Ashfield - Pye Bridge Jn PSUL
* Stafford - Wolverhampton
* A couple of PSULs in the Birmingham area (both by accident!)
* Birmingham - London Paddington via Oxford

Not bad considering

I was looking out a route to Loughborough on Sunday, and Real Time Trains shows Derby to East Midlands Parkway diverted via Stenson Jc - Castle Donnington - Sheet Stores Jc if anyone is interested...

I use photoshop elements and the colour replacement brush. With this you just brush over the red lines with a blue brush. Just the red bits get changed and not the white either side.

I think you will need two days.

I managed to do the whole of Ride Cornwall area (including Coombe Junction Halt) in one day last summer, starting from Truro on the 0904 on a weekday, and finishing at Newquay on the last train. I don't think it would be possible to add the whole of Devon as well.

That does mean the cost can be kept down. A Devon Day Ranger for one day (Sunday if you want Okehampton) and a Ride Cornwall for the other (Monday if you want to do them on two consecutive days).

My latest coverage map after travelling between Retford and Liverpool Lime Street and back on Saturday. I have now covered the line between Sheffield and Hazel Grove; and between Deansgate and Liverpool Lime Street.

I have to do a lot, the idea is to get the Snow Hill lines, Bourneville to Redditch, and Aston to Rugely trent valley lines done, and then most likely head back, annoyed though as Great Escape tickets aren't valid on the 09:28 LM service from Stoke.

Aye I almost exclusively need PSUL curves now too, some of them are really annoying to do like Newton Connecting Line, as it doesn't always produce!
