Route avoiding replacement buses

I am going from London to Kings Lynn next weekend and the trains are replaced by buses between Royston (or Audley End) and Cambridge. Going by train via Peterborough is quicker but it is unclear whether I can use a normal ticket that way during the replacement or would have buy a ticket or tickets specifically for the Peterborough route.

You can't go via Peterborough just to avoid replacement buses, unless a specific easement is put in place, and would need to buy a different ticket, or combination of tickets.
