Remember those "non landing" trips you used to be able to get on the hovercraft where you could go from Dover to Calais and back for £1 but you stayed on board at the other end?

Eurotunnel seem to have accidentally re-introduced the concept!

I wonder if this might give railtour operators any ideas - St Pancras to St Pancras non-stop "just because you can", maybe?

We use the Chunnel frequently and once we had to wait ages to get off as there was a problem with the mechanism (we were up top). I wondered if we were going to get taken back to Folkestone! The last cock-up was at Coquelles where seven cars were left stranded on the ramp whilst they closed-up the train we were due to take, and had to wait for the next one. We were given business cards with an address on to complain via, and after exchange of letters, were offered a 10% voucher discount via a code for the next trip. Gee wizz! That could be as little as £4.40.
