Can anyone tell me what Rotherham is like for freight, going to Sheffield tomorrow night and thinking of popping over to Rotherham, thanks

Rotherham station or Rotherham itself? Think most freight goes via the old Masborough station so avoids the new station.

hardly any freight passes through rotherham central the only trains which pass through start or end at aldwarke steelworks and only a handful more pass through the station. most of the freight passes through the closed masborough . the best station to observe freight in the rotherham area is swinton the next station after rotherham all northern stopping services stop there
