Only 1.5% of chilterns passengers come from doing Moor Street to Marylebone and probably around 3% use Dorridge, Solihull or Warwick Parkway from the north to go to London.

And even that cannibalisation assumes Chiltern doesn’t continue to be the budget option which it probably will as otherwise you’d be massively reducing the express fare - or that people from Dorridge and Solihull don’t value a direct train more.

Of course with additional stops on HS2 it would be different.
