Hi all,
I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere so I thought I'd explain this.
Romford has recently had a platform fence/gate placed along the entire country platform (3) blocking the active (with two stops an hour) fast line. Presumably by TfL Rail.
There is also reportedly a queuing system in place where passengers are ONLY allowed onto the platform, 2 minutes before the train stops.
Is this not a completely worthless exercise considering the other fast platform is unprotected?
