Rome-Venice Fares

Various sites advise me i can travel this route for basically peanuts. Having said that when i go onto sites to check times etc, the fares make British ones look cheap.
So what would be a ral life fare between the two?

Your point being?
The Italian Railways site will give you the correct fare.
But fare depends on which type of train.
Looking at the sites.
The night train takes nearly 7 hours and costs €10 - I'll let you check daytime trains.

The cheapest fares - no surprise here - are non refundable Advances.

As well as Trenitalia, Italo operate on the route IIRC, so there's plenty of choice and a variety of service levels.

Both websites are available in English and certainly TI accept UK credit cards.

The Italian system seems to be pretty similar to ours. There are cheap book ahead fares at various price point, and when those sell out, they're gone, so you have to pay a bit more.

So it's a bit like asking what's a real life fare between London and Plymouth.
