Hello all. My wife and I have booked a flat after Easter in the town of Manziana, north of Rome. We will be flying into Fiumicino and taking the train, changing at Trastevere. So far, so good: I've used Fiumicino-Trastevere before to connect with the tram. Manziana is on route FL3 to Viterbo.
This is where things get interesting - or at least curious. There appear to be more trains from Trastevere to Manziana than arrive in Manziana, some making more stops. I presume this means one train is calling all stations, while the faster train behind it catches up then joins it at some point, and they run as a single train the rest of the way to Viterbo. The same also seems to be the case in the opposite direction: a Regionale and Regionale Veloce both timed to leave Manziana simultaneously, one for Ostiense, the other for Tiburtina, with different arrival times at Trastevere.
My Italian is reasonable and I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out on the day. But I wondered if anyone had any experience/advice on this route. Thanks in advance.
