Hi
I've seen. Colin. J Marsdens book on Rolling stock recognition available on amazon for a few quid. Is it worth getting, has it got many illustrations and diagrams?

Seem to recall that this series of books had a lot of photos, a few diagrams, and plenty of captions. I'd rely on the photos more than the captions.
I had the ones on wagons and departmentals, and the captions had a few errors in places.
Published in the early 1980s, to be sure we're talking about the same thing.
