Hi
As a recent returning rail enthusiast i have been trying to locate the type of publication mentioned in the title of the thread, i think they were called "locoshed books" if i remember .
Do these books still get published and if so where can i locate a seller/bookshop

Thanks Lee

I'm afraid Ian Allan gave up doing them some 10-20 years ago! They were killed off by the Platform 5 books which were far superior. Platform 5 still produce their annual pocket booked (Loco/DMU/EMU/Hauled stock) books along with a 'combined volume'. A cheaper book, covering all these but in less detail, is the "Spotters Companion" produced by the NREA. All are available at Ian Allan bookshops, and a few stations also stock them.

Sorry, I knew it was one of the rail magazine publishers who did it, and searched both websites, but could find them on neither!
