On Sundays, yes, the last southbound train on the WCML starts from Edinburgh and goes via Birmingham and Northampton. Takes over six hours to get to London.

I was on it the other week, I assure you it's real!

For some reason Virgin don't advertise Edinburgh to London runs as through services in their timetable, but the information screens at stations and onboard make it clear that they are.

Oh no I believe you entirely what time does it leave Edinburgh?

Class 143 to Bridgend via Rhoose (although usually 150's, not uncommon to see a Pacer) .
