Hi All,
I currently work as a PWay Track Engineer and have done so for the last 10 years. However I have always wanted to be more involved in the rolling stock side of the rail industry given my prior background in mechanical engineering and my own interests.
I just was looking for some information and thoughts from someone who currently works in Rolling Stock with a TOC and what are the challenges/experiences like and future career prospects?
Is Rolling Stock Engineer more niche compared to PWay Track Engineer?
If anyone has made the similar switch I would appreciate your thoughts and experience.
Thank you for reading.
