Meaning those in bands who clash, because of rivalry or personality.
Liam and Noel Gallagher have made up ready for the reunion tour next year but, will the harmony last until then?

Others who have had 'issues'

Everly Brothers
Ray and Dave Davies of the Kinks
Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker
John and Paul
Simon and Garfunkel
Sting and Stuart Copeland
Roger Waters and Pink Floyd ( but I get the impression, mostly Dave Gilmour)

Must be others I'm sure.......

Blondie is really just Debbie + Chris Stein - they've got through other guitarists and keyboard players - including Gary Valentine, who wrote one of their hits. Clem Burke has survived but then he's the greatest drummer ever (I.M.O., other drummers are available).
I understand that if you're a Blondie guitar player walking towards the front while playing is a sackable offence.

'Fleetwood Mac', perhaps? In particular Stevie Nicks' and Lindsey Buckingham's acrimonious relationship, which was irretrievably falling apart whilst the band were recording "Rumours" in 1976. Band members John McVie and Christine McVie had also got divorced that very same year. As had Mick Fleetwood.

Reg Presley and The Troggs. (Google the Troggs tapes for more info.)
Ritchie Blackmore vs loads, especially singers
Wilko Johnson & the Feelgoods
Phil Spector vs various including gun incidents. (John Lennons droll response to his studio gun shot is worth checking out!)
The Eagles. Weren’t reforming until ‘Hell freezes over’……
The Ramones. Joey & Johnny were reputed not to have spoken for much of the time the band was together.
Lemmy thrown out of Hawkwind over a drugs bust. (Probably safe to assume his ‘crime’ was getting caught and not being able to play.)

Lots of band splits citing ‘musical differences’ too although The Beautiful South cited ‘musical similarities’!

There's always Jane's Addiction to keep the thrill of rock personality clashes simmering until Oasis return. Perry Farrell has a long and illustrious history of being an arse.

https://news.sky.com/story/janes-ad...rock-bands-reunion-gig-ends-in-chaos-13214681

A concert by US rock band Jane's Addiction ended early after lead singer Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro on stage in the middle of a song.
Videos posted on social media showed Farrell, 65, becoming upset as they played their 1986 song Ocean Size in Boston on Friday night.

The singer is filmed walking towards Navarro and shouting in his face before aggressively bumping shoulders with the guitarist.
Navarro, 57, eventually stopped playing and put a hand up to Farrell's chest as Farrell continued to shout at his longtime bandmate.

He then punched Navarro's shoulder as others, including bassist Eric Avery, intervened to break it up.

I asked Kris Tait (Dave Brock's wife, the fire eater) about that at a concert and she said there were never any bad feelings against Lemmy. Even after he left the band he would sometimes stand in with them, especially at the Hawkfests. I think he was at Hawkestra as well. The main dispute within Hawkwind was with Nik Turner, who several times tried to setup a "fake" Hawkwind, even going so far as to copyright the name in the USA

I believe getting involved with Jane's Addiction were one of the reasons Dave Gahn of Depeche Mode went off the rails and brought the issues Alan Wilder had with the band to a head causing him to quit (plus the fact no-one thought Depeche Mode would be around for much longer, as showcased by the "In Your Room" video). Alan had a well known (mutual?) dislike of Fletch as he didn't think he did much and would regularly mess up on stage, and is why Alan never returned to the band (apart from a one off performance of "Somebody" at the Albert Hall).

The two founding members of OMD had a falling out over who got to keep the name when they split (Virgin were very keen for Andy to keep it, which he did), but supposedly that was made out to be much worse than it was (solicitors!) and they are very much happy to be back together (and have been back longer than they were together originally now).

I can well believe this. And of course it would look even more obvious now if Alan returned to the band with Fletch having passed away. Ultimately Fletch was more the 'keep the band on the rails and in the black' man and I often wondered if his inability to actually play anything with any degree of proficiency lent tension to the situation.

Yeah, I well remember Paul and Andy being properly at legal loggerheads at that time. Funny how that played into inspiring some of Andy's material on Sugar Tax. The fact they've been reunited longer than their original spell is quite something.

Yes, I forgot about marital problems. F. Mac and Abba would be the obvious examples. Richard and Linda Thompson had an acrimonious break-up I believe.

Bill Bruford, or Terry Bozio, or Vinnie Colaiuta, or Gary Husband, or……
And mentioning Bruford brings up the frictions between Fripp and the rest of the members of the various versions of King Crimson. But maybe that was unusual in that the tensions were at least in part directly contributive to the creative process.

Fripp and his ‘flying brick wall’? His description of the power of Bruford & Wetton.

He was quoted a couple of years ago as saying that the most recent version of KC (with three drummers) was the only version in which at least one member didn't actively resent him being there.

I hope his current co-headliner doesn’t resent him being there!

Marital problems brought Sonic Youth to a close after 30 years together.

Many bands containing brothers have had problems - temporary or permanent.
That includes The Bee Gees, who went their separate ways for a short time.

Black Sabbath & Ozzie Osborne.

Of course other "splits" were due to genuine musical differences, e.g. Eric Clapton leaving The Yardbirds because he thought they were moving away from "The Blues".

Mr Fripp featured on last night's Strictly, in the audience supporting his wife's entry in the competition this year (Toyah Willcox that is).

Apart from featuring in all (?) the many iterations of King Crimson, he's been involved with many other musicians in behind-the-scenes roles.

The 24hr news radio channel I listen to recently had a segue on drummers. An expert from the U.S. set out who the two 'best drummers ever' were; Ringo and ... Karen Carpenter.

!!!!!

I did text in my suggestion; it was read out, and the expert said, basically, 'Clem err ... ... ...???' strongly suggesting he was thinking 'Clem who??'

Almost back on topic (!), Ringo got famously upset with Jeff Lynne about using a click track telling him ‘I am the f…ing click track!’

Whoops!

Sorry
Well, to be fair it wasn't as obvious as the others on the list. But it's notable that fifty years on, two quite ordinary first names are enough to identify them.

Then in the late '80s there were the reported frequent altercations between Roger Daltrey and Kenny Jones, some ending in fistycuffs.

Jesus and Mary Chain.
Jim and William would fall out with each other on stage.

Dave Mustaine and Metallica - took around 20 years after he was sacked in 1983 before they were back on speaking terms, though there have still been periodic snide digs (from both sides to be fair) since then.
