Rochdale Parking

Sorry to ask such a banal question but...

I'm taking advantage of tomorrow's new Chester service and wanted to join at Rochdale with an overnight in Chester. I've just noticed that neither the Rail nor Metrolink Park and Ride allow overnight parking. I can also see that no town centre car parks offer it.

Do any Rochdale rail users have a suggestion for parking overnight?

You can park overnight in the Metrolink carpark around the back . Rules were changed recently. If not it's free to park around the Broadfield Park area and just a short walk to the station.

Thanks for this...it’s their website that worried me as it’s allowed by only on Friday and Saturday!

I parked this morning ‘behind’ the station — plenty of space around 0645 if anyone else stumbles across this thread in future.

That does seem a bizarre omission given that it’s very common for people to work away overnight.
