Just at Man Piccadilly and the trains using Plat 13 + 14 are currently using the alternate platform I.e. the 1437 Man Airport is currently stood at 14b and the Liverpool train is on 13b. Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Both roads are bi-di and interchangeable so i dont think it is out of the ordinary

Might be a problem at Oxford Road; sometimes they move everything across one platform which has a corresponding effect at Piccadilly.

I've seen them run the odd service through the wrong way before but this is currently every service and they are having to announce every train manually as a platform alteration. Lots of National Rail Hi-viz'd up staff have just turned up on P14 as well.

Often a points failure, very easy to do as both platforms are regularly bidirectional during the late evening and night.
It confuses the hell out of passengers *and* staff when it happens.
