Hail All!
Earlier today I decided to follow a banner ad from this forum that led to a site offering a book of air-fare "secrets", written and being sold by someone purporting to be a disgruntled former booking agent.
Looking at the website - http://www.myairfaresecrets.com - The whole thing is a blatant ripoff right from page one. All of the usual "Delboy and Rodney" selling techniques are plain to see (Such as claiming that the book "Contains hundreds of secrets, and will save you thousands on air travel") and the whole page reads like a badly bashed out eBay auction.
Anyhow...I became interested in just what kind of tripe this person was trying to sell (For the specially "discounted" price of $24.99 :roll
and I decided to try a bit of Googling - The fruits of my search leading me to a complete copy of the eBook in question in someone's badly secured online backup.
Although one or two of the points in it are somewhat valid (I'd read it with a big pinch of salt though!
) a lot of it reads like crap, and just contains piles of affiliate links and recommendations to assorted subscription services.
Anyhow...If anyone's ever considered buying this: Don't - It's not worth $2.49, let alone $24.99. Unfortunateley I'm not allowed to attach a copy of the file to this post directly due to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act (Though I wouldn't think it applicable to such inaccurate rip-off material, personally! :roll
but anyone wanting a laff at it can still legally access a print version from Here...Although ye might need to disable Javascript in thy browser first for thy personal security. 8)
Farewell for now...
