The lovely star of Hi De Hi died yesterday aged 79. I had the pleasure of meeting her when I was a young guard and she was travelling on my train from Kings Cross to Huntingdon and she seemed as sweet as she was in the TV show.

Absolutely, RIP Ruth Madoc.

Re-lived my childhood and watched all the Hi-di-Hi's again recently. Loved every minute.

Indeed.
I know someone who met her and she was running late for something, but took the time to speak time and take pics etc.. Ruth said 'They cant wait' or something like that.
