Is this not a rare side effect of prolonged steroid use? Maybe off them now hence the clear tests but used somewhat in the past.

No, no it isn't. Prolonged steroid use can do many things, but it can't give you two sets of genitalia.
I think she is genuinely intersex. It happens. I don't think she's a doper, she, like Dutee Chand, is just who she is.
As for whether she should be allowed to compete as a female, I think it is a difficult one, there's no easy answer. It's obviously a big problem that the only women who have been able to get close to her- Mariya Savinova most notably beating her in London 2012- were doping.
I think setting maximum testosterone levels was the fairest way of dealing with the issue, and it's a real shame the Court of Arbitration for Sport disagreed.

What I make of it is that it isn't my body, so my opinion counts for naught.
To change the subject somewhat, the removal of the requirement for male boxers to wear protective headgear seems a backwards step to me. If anything, the rule change should have been that those in the professional side of the game also wear protective headgear. It doesn't matter that the big names earn millions for a single bout- boxing (or any other sport) with a needlessly significant risk of brain injury is basically a bloodsport and should have no place in the 21st century. :roll:

Is it just me, or do the medals at this Olympics look (more so than usual) like you could peel off the foil and have some chocolate? I was half expecting Kenny to take a bite!

Have all the individual competitors of Great Britain received contracts with the organisation stated to be "Team GB" ? Who is actually in charge of "Team GB" ?
This might be of interest Paul. There is the BOA (British Olympics Association) which is made up of 35 NGBs (National Governing Bodies - for a particular sport) across both the Summer and Winter games, and then one would assume there are additional administrative staff. I would presume that each athlete is a member of their relevant sporting association who then hold qualifiers for each games, at which point those who progress are expected (but probably not contracted) to represent team GB at the games.

The boxing- in both semi-finals- was even worse.
Naturally the undeserving beneficiaries in both cases were Russian. But I'm sure it was just an off-day for the judges, nothing to see here, move along now.
Speaking of cheating, it was so nice for cyclists to speak about Team GB's "superhuman ability" in the track events. It's really kind, good job that superhuman is not a peloton euphemism for doping...oh.

Yet in London, we have the velodrome still in use, the copper box still in use, the Olympic Stadium still in use (for athletics as well as Wet Spam), the pool still in use. Other venues were deliberately temporary so could be removed rather than abandoned or were existing facilities like Wimbledon, Lord's, Wembley, the O2 etc.
Residents of Stratford have benefitted from some affordable housing that otherwise wouldn't have been there, and a park that was previously contaminated wasteland.
Perhaps other cities could take a leaf out of London's book.

Hockey centre's still in use, although it's been moved it's still within the park and is now permanent, and will host the 2018 Hockey World Cup (w).
