A truly brilliant comic in his appearances in many programmes including the Young Ones and Blackadder. Living in the same town he grew up in and at the same school he attended, his death only seems more poignant. Rest in peace.

I for one remember Kevin Turvey.

I went to see Rik at the Bristol Hippodrome back in the early 80s when he'd just become famous, he was brilliant. The support was good too, a then relatively unknown bloke called Ben Elton.

RIP Rik - you'll be missed by my generation.
