You won't get a cab ride unless you know any current drivers willing to risk their licence.

If you know a Driver very well (such as friend or family), they can ask their Driver Manager to take you. The Driver Manager will come out on the day with the Driver and then you will be allowed in. That’s the official way to do it as oppose to the Driver sneaking in their buddy/son/whoever.

If you don’t know a driver, the chances are close to zero. If they were giving out cab rides, there would be a very long queue as you can imagine.

You could try a heritage railway and have an experience day.
