Ribblehead Timber Trains

[RichmondCommu]

G'day,

Following on from a similar thread regarding Welsh timber traffic, do similar trains still run from Ribblehead? We were up there on holiday in August but as we were staying in Dent Dale it would have been all too easy to have missed any trains that were still running.

Many thanks,

Richmond Commuter!

Yes - typically about once a week, I believe.

Thats good news. I didn't think there would be any timber left to cut on Cam Fell!

Averages around two trains a month - can run for two or three weeks in a row,
and then often goes AWOL for a similar length of time!

A loaded train ran yesterday, if that helps?
