Hi,
this is yet another thread about the Rhymney Fotopic updates. I actually updated my site on Monday, but have only just got round to posting it on here.

Nice pics! I like this one: http://baggysrailpics.fotopic.net/p23527244.html

[Holland on Rail]

I agree it's a nice shot. although it could have been better if the complete train was on it.

But...... Still it's a good shot.
Keep up like this.

[joy54]

I took the same shot as Aureol, just a little further back, we couldn't get the whole train in due to the fact we had to run back to the station to catch the same train...

[Holland on Rail]

No you can, by using another angle, or use less zoom. Then you even have more time to catch your train

It's just an advice guys.......

[devon_metro]

TBH i like the photo as it captures the loco in BR colours, i'm niot interested in a rake of ex-virgin Mk2's!

[joy54]

There was only one angle available as the police wouldn't allow people to walk any further towards the train.

[Holland on Rail]

Actually, I do not mean stand at another position, but use less zoom, or try another angle:

Anyway..... your the photographer... So it's your decition what you'll do.

[joy54]

I don't think Aureol used zoom but due to the close proximity of the train to us I doubt people could of got a picture of the whole train and still caught it. you of had to of been off the footpath which the police weren't allowing.

Also wasnt the train on a curve as well?

Looks like it is in that pic. It it was on a curve you wouldnt be able to get the whole train in anyway!

[Jordy]

Some very nice pics there, well done

There were also all sorts of cr@p in the way, such as pointless speed signs and a hut.

Thanks for the kind comments anyway guys!
