Update: 3J51 has gone back to York Thrall Europa.

Reason why isn't known at the moment.

Nothing, as far as I am aware - the York RHTTs are outbased at Doncaster at the weekend
due to engineering work in the York and/or Church Fenton areas, so I presume that 057
is at Doncaster as a standby loco?
3J51 is based at York. 37057 would be the standby for 3J51 if it hadn't gone to Doncaster

How do these circuits ensure coverage of all tracks? Looking at Filton Bank (four tracks), I can only see 3S60 passing over it once today. Will it pass over a different track on subsequent days?

There is no requirement to cover all track, NR use a risk based system so it’s more likely the worst line is protected.

Unfortunately, there is not enough circuits or equipment to cover all lines sufficiently. The overall strategy is to cover as much as possible, linearly. For example, it’s much more beneficial to cover London to Bletchley on two lines than it is to do all four lines between London and Watford.

There are exceptions to this rule, the MML circuit covers all lines between Kentish Town and Bedford but this is rare and uses a lot of time and paths which is why this is done at night.

Update: 219 and 254 now heading to Barlby Loops as 3J52.

From there, they will head to Scarborough via Bridlington as 3J51, then they'll go back up to York.

RTT reporting the same pair doing 3J84 this morning without Matlock in the schedule so may be correct hence it not running last night

Edit: 3J84 looks to have returned back to base without completing the schedule
How come the service returned to Toton again, is there another part of that circuit not cleared for the 99s?
