It seems the RhB are short of drivers...

See story with more details at https://www.20min.ch/ (in German)

Not everything is going well at the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), the reason is personnel problems, or more precisely: a shortage of train drivers.
Although the RhB has never employed so many train drivers before and despite numerous measures, the current staff capacity is not sufficient to cover all services.
In order to counteract further overloading of the locomotive staff and to prevent short-term train cancellations, the RhB has decided on adjustments in consultation with the federal and cantonal purchasers. The updated offer is valid from March 11, 2024 and is shown in the online timetable. (Google translate)

That was a long time coming. The mood among the staff was declining over the last few years. In comparison, wages are rather low with a high cost of living. The manager responsible for personnel was also dismissed. In Chur there is also competition from SBB and SOB.

The off season suspension of the Davos to Filisur line is rather shocking I think. Travelled it so often and trains were always filled.
