Is there a website or link to freight on the Rhaetian Railway?
Planning a visit to Filisur in winter - has anyone walked the path to the viewing platform at this time of year?

Here's the link to the RhB website, I thought somewhere it used to incude links to the working timetable and loco workings, though I'm not so sure anymore.

The footpath to the Landwasser Viaduct can be trecherous in winter as i know from experience a few years back when I slipped on compacted ice and broke my arm. A painful experience in more ways than one!

You don't state which part of winter you are going.

I did not attempt the viaduct path partly because the Landwasser view is very rocky so winter shots are not so different from summer shots.

BEWARE: Another very good reason for not attempting the Landwasser paths is that they may be officially closed at the time of your visit. You can forfeit your chance of insurance or indeed rescue if you traverse a Swiss footpath that is not an official winter walking path. Official winter walking paths (with pink signs) are different from the normal yellow signed paths.

In my opinion it is better to venture to spot where acres of snow such as Bergun and Preda

Many thanks for the link and the advice. I am indeed planning to visit in deep winter. Visited the line two years ago and plan to use the train to go toboganing between Preda and Bergun
