Reversed Pendolino

This a first for me, I'm currently on a Pendolino travelling with standard class at the London end. Does anyone know why it could have been turned, have there been any operational issues the past few days which necessitated it?

It happens from time to time and a set can be turned in the Birmingham area due to diversions. I am sure there are other places on the WCML this can happen.

Sets finishing their working day at Edinburgh then work empty to Polmadie for servicing.
It they start from Glasgow next day without being turned locally they will be in reverse formation.
There are also situations around Manchester/Liverpool which can lead to reverse formations during engineering diversions (eg Crewe-Warrington-Manchester rather than Crewe-Stockport-Manchester).
