I notice that recent ticket stock carries an advert for traintracker™ and NRE's twitter™ feed.

There's also stock with a PlusBus advert.

Are there any other current adverts out there on the reverse of ticket stock?

Most of them seem to be for plusbus (largely issued at New St)

My most recent tickets has no advert on the back (issued from Erdington ticket office)

Also my Plusbus ticket advertises plusbus (Y)

I think it just varies depending on what they get in the office. I haven't seen the PlusBus stock for a while, I'm always getting TrainTracker nowadays from Blairhill.

There used to be a gallery showing different types of railway tickets on Fotopic, including some pics of the reverse side. However, it's now been taken down (which is quite irritating, because I've wanted to refer to it a lot over the last few days!).

Probably more a case that Fotopic is offline, apparently gone bust.

Never seen an advert on onboard Avantix issued stock.

Seen PlusBus, Twitter service updates, TrainTracker, something about policing, and quite a few others from the past.

Most of my recent Out and Return tickets have the NRCoC warning, whilst some others have either the Twitter/TrainTracker info, or a penalty fares warning (the latter comes alongside the CoC message).

I remember when there used to be adverts for Lombard Direct on the back of tickets and possibly other companies. Shame they don't seem to do it anymore.

I did find a ticket stating that chip and pin was coming - it was dated 5/8/06

I seem to remember the Chip and Pin ones too!

Heres a scan of the tickets I currently have - the details of when and where the tickets can be found below the scans of the respective ticket:

The one on the left is supposed to be issued in PF areas when you get sold a full open on-board but don't get PFed because the seller wasn't an authorised collector. They are in those instances supposed to "issue a printed penalty fares warning to the passenger, and draw his/her attention to the warning".

It was actually issued on a local 'pay-train' - but I think the guards duty takes them onto the mainline which is a PF zone and they keep the avantix with them.

My local line starts and ends in penalty fare land, but all the stations in the middle are just pay on train. so we usually get the penalty fare stock

I've had Avantix mobile penalty fares stock issued at Winchester station in the morning when there is someone standing by the ticket office issuing tickets.

Just had a look through a pile from last year/ early this year and apart from 1 traintracker/ twitter ad I can only find plus bus or plain tickets without ads.
