Over the past 6 months I’ve been accompanying my teenage daughter on train trips getting her confidence up to travel alone and feel she is supported by railway staff. We were doing well and she was almost ready for a solo test run. That all changed when her and her boyfriend were challenged by these thugs that are National Rails Revenue protection Officers. They humiliated, terrified and destroyed all of the confidence I had built up with them over the past 6 months by accusing her boyfriend to be a fair dodger when it was a genuine mistake. These RPOs should be removed immediately. What are you thinking about National Rails Revenue protection!

Would be good to know what the incident was, what happened, and how she allegedly broke the rules/the law. Otherwise it’s hard to say.

Sorry, but we do not accept threads consisting of vague and generic rants, and associated polls of this nature.

Threads need to comply with forum rules, and furthermore dispute threads need to contain relevant information for us to be able to assist; we do ask that everyone who posts within this forum section familiarises themselves with the following, please:

Please read before posting in Disputes & Prosecutions

National Rail is an umbrella term for the train companies, collectively; there are no National Rail staff per se. The whole premise of the thread doesn't really make sense and doesn't warrant a new thread.

Thread titles should be descriptive and posts should be constructive in nature.

If you want to submit posts of this nature, you'll need to find an alternative forum or social media site.

If you want to submit your experiences to the ORR, you may do so at the following website:

However, please note that if you want to be taken seriously, my advice would be to avoid overly emotive language; be clear about what happened. If you want people to listen to you, then my advice would be to be concise and to the point, while also being descriptive where it matters.
