Can someone help me clarify what to do in this situation?
- I purchased a XC only ticket between Glasgow Central and Haymarket for today.
- I purchased this ticket through the Scotrail website
- I did not request a reservation at the time but would now like to reserve a seat on the 1900 service.
- XC customer services told me that I had to speak to Scotrail
- Scotrail told me that no reservations on this route...ridiculous becuse on XC trains you can reserve on this route between these two destinations, and it is possible to reserve a seat on the Scotrail website for new bookings but not to amend existing ones.
So in my situation, should I still be available to get a reservation for this service? If so can I contact someone before I travel or would it best just to board on an unreserved carriage? This is a Bank Holiday to be fair.
